Shwedagon Paya: this great golden
dome rises 98 m above its base.
The banana bud on the top is covered with 13.135 golden plates; the flag turning
with the wind is gold and silver plated and studded with 1100 diamonds and
another 1383 precious stones. The final top is studded with 4351 diamonds or
1800 carat. The outmost top is a single 76 carat diamond
