1782,
the
Grand
Palace
comprises
now
more
than
100
buildings,
but
only
a
few
buildings
are
used
for
ceremonial
occasions.
Most
are
open
to
the
public.
Next
to
it,
is
the
temple
of
the
Emerald
Buddha.
The
surrounding
wat
structures
are
colourful
-
gilded,
polished,
covered
with
mosaics,
tiles
and
several
mural
scenes
